Climate action needs more than youth participation. It needs youth access.

Our first Climate Talks webinar with the20space explored what access really means for young Africans in climate action.

The big takeaway: young people are ready to lead — but too many are still locked out of funding, decision-making spaces, practical skills, infrastructure, and opportunities.

We heard clear calls for:

• Climate finance that reaches youth-led ideas
• More support for rural youth, young women, farmers, and youth with disabilities
• Practical green skills, not just awareness
• Local knowledge to shape climate solutions
• Student innovation hubs and stronger youth networks

So what?

If climate solutions are built without young Africans closest to the crisis, they will keep missing the mark.

Climate Talks exists to change that — one conversation, connection, and action at a time.
