Before you pack away the Christmas lights and get ready to usher in the new year… here’s one last gift worth unwrapping, an opportunity that could shape your leadership journey and Africa’s conservation future.

For five years, the AWF–Wall Youth Leadership Program, a flagship initiative of the African Wildlife Foundation supported by the Wall Family Foundation, has been investing in Africa’s next generation of conservation leaders. What began as a bold vision has grown into a pan-African movement: 108 alumni from 30 countries, applying leadership, policy, and management skills to advance African-led conservation solutions across the continent and beyond.

The Call for Applications for the 2026 Cohort is now open, across two fellowship tracks. Which path aligns with your journey?

  1. AWF–Wall Policy Fellowship, delivered in partnership with the UN Environment Programme, for young professionals ready to influence global environmental governance and elevate Africa’s priorities in international decision-making spaces.
  2. AWF–Wall Leadership & Management Fellowship for conservation practitioners already delivering impact on the ground and seeking to sharpen leadership, strengthen teams, and tackle complex conservation challenges.

Each track runs for 9 months (April–December) and welcomes 15 fellows from across Africa, leaders committed to securing Africa’s biodiversity with clarity, courage, and context-driven leadership.

📅 Applications close on the 20th January 2026. The future of African conservation needs leaders like you, learn more and apply via this link - https://lnkd.in/dx8vDapW
